A style as undefinable as their name, Amahjra is reinventing the Nor-cal sound with an infusion of rock, blues,
alternative and hip hop lace through each track, never allowing the listener to expect
what’s to come; building a fan base hungry for originality.
Life-long friends, Greg Fischer and Deryk Bissell began forming what would become,
with the addition of Billy Jackson and Motown, the four member band Amahjra. Raised
in rural, northern California, a gritty sound was born from small town upbringings and
musical influences, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Von, Alice In Chains and Pink Floyd.
With chemistry and creativity at an all time high,
Amahjra released their sophomore album "BORN THE LIGHT" in early 2021.
Whether performing at the local venue, or headlining a main stage, Amahjra pulls you in
with their high-energy, unforgettable performances and always leaves you wanting
more.
